The Boston Bruins placed forward Milan Lucic on long-term injured reserve Sunday due to a broken finger.
Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli didn't reveal how long Lucic will be out, but under NHL rules a player on injured reserve can't return for at least seven days after being hurt.
