Jay Feaster is prepared to butt heads if he has to with Flames general manager Darryl Sutter.
"He can't have a harder head than John Tortorella did," the new assistant general manager insisted Tuesday. "It can't be."
The combative Tortorella was Feaster's coach when the two won the 2004 Stanley Cup together with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning beat the Flames in seven games to take t

After his tenure with the Lightning, an assistant general manager job wasn't exactly what Feaster envisioned for his future, but when Sutter came calling he realized the Flames' job was the right fit.
"I received call from Darryl back during the Stanley Cup Final," Feaster said. "He expressed to me he was looking to add some experience in the hockey operations department and asked if I would b Read More »

No Quick Fix For The Flames

Realistically, that will be an issue, even if Sutter is made to walk the plank. It is all well and good to turn the keys over to someone new in the GM’s office. Jay Bouwmeester signed with Calgary to get his first taste of playoff hockey, yet he’s done little to help his chances of getting there.
On a Flames team full of players who’ve failed to live up to expectations this season, Bouwmeester may be the most disappointing of all given his salary and the reputation he brought as being one of the league’s most complete blueliners. Read More »

Six goals and 14 points through 30 games puts him on pace for about 16 goals and 40 points. If he stays at this pace — although odds favour another hot streak with h Read More »

Posted by IceColdNews 303 days ago (http://www.tsn.ca)

"It's unacceptable," Sutter said. "I'm not going to accept average players, because when you have average players, you have an average hockey team and we're a better group than that." Read More »
